HAPPINESS REDEFINED STARTUP LAUNCHED IN MILAN
AEIC was conceptualized in January 2019 and has grown with the support and care of its mentors, partners, internal and external stakeholders, startup founders, technology partners, and many others. AEIC would like to thank everyone who have supported in its growth, including AUD, Dubai Government, and other well wishers.
AEIC CAMPAIGN LAUNCH
AEIC has launched a groundbreaking and sky-rocketing Kick-Off event on Friday the 24th Feb. This launch is in the Metaverse that maps AUD’s destiny as the first University in the UAE, GCC, Middle East, and the Globe; alongside Burj Khalifa, UAE’s Ministry of Tourism, and VARA (Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority). This is going and change lives.
AEIC'S BLOCKCHAIN KICKOFF INTO THE METAVERSE
MOU WITH SUPERMODULE
💥ANNOUNCEMENT! 💥FIRST BLOCKCHAIN LAB initiated by AUD's Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center in collaboration. An MOU was signed between SUPERMODULE and American University in Dubai on the 25th of Nov, 2022, for setting up the FIRST-EVER Blockchain Lab at a University that will provide a robust framework for students, technology partners, trainers, funders, and startups. This will open doors for internships, startup partnerships, and student collaborations on real-life projects and game deployment in the space of Web 3 technologies - Metaverse, NFT, Crypto, Gaming, and other Builder Services. A space to definitely watch out for....more in the pipeline....

Congratulations to Super Module and Rescue Innovations for receiving on Dubai Police Award an 20th October 2022. “Super Module is a digital asset that has been enhanced by the service modules made available through the Super Module marketplace.”
WINNERS OF MBRIF 2022
Hey Valet has been selected as one of the winners of the MBRIF University Entrepreneurship Program to received a grant of AED 25,500 to support their vision. Dubai Future Foundation on Wednesday 18th May 2022, granted the cheque and team certificates to Hey Valet who will also be a part of their Accelerator program.
HAPPINESS REDEFINED
Happiness Redefined the first POD Startup for receiving the Trade License from TECOM on 13th October 2022. “Pulkit Chopra, the founder of Project Happiness, always wanted to set up a business which would create employment opportunities for People of Determination (POD), especially those whose needs required them to work from home”
TRADING LICENSE
At AEIC (AUD’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center), seven startups have received their trade licenses from March 2021 to this day. Our startups are from several sectors such as solar energy, Edu Tech, fashion, and food.
TECHINNOVA & AUD MOU
On 9th Nov 2021, the university signed an MOU with Techinnova, an Italian Innovative Startup Incubator Certified by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and a Professional Investor. This agreement will help further materialize the ambitions of budding entrepreneurs and University founders at AUD who hope to realize their vision of a startup through AEIC.
WINNERS OF MBRIF
Acadlinks has been selected as one of the winners of the MBRIF University Entrepreneurship Program to receive a grant of AED 40,000.00 to support their vision. Dubai Future Foundation on Wednesday 5th May 2021, granted the cheque and team certificates to Acadlinks who will also be a part of their Accelerator program.
AEIC-UI INAUGURATION
AEIC Ui Incubator inaugurated by H.E Abdelbaset Al Janahi - CEO, Dubai SME on the 18th October 2021.
Dr. Sunitha Kshatriya, Manager of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center at the American University in Dubai, the UNAI SDG Hub for Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, provided practical and tactical examples of how courage must be met with institutional strategy.
1ST AEIC STARTUP REGISTERED
Solaris Solutions founded by Ghaith Al Bastanli is the 1st Startup that has completed the 1st stage of the company registration process with TCOM. This has been facilitated by AEIC under the MOU that has been signed with In5 for achieving AEIC’s vision of “graduating startups”, thus fulfilling the mandate of Article 6 of the 50 year charter of HH Prime Minister of UAE.
Dr. Sunitha Kshatriya, Manager of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center at the American University in Dubai, wrote an article on the Gulf Business about how UAE-based universities must be refurbished as creative free zones.
PARTNERSHIP
AEIC is now a partner with Queros - an education-technology company to offer AEIC students, not limited to, internship opportunities, mentorships of inter-industry experts, joint innovation projects and challenges, experiential learning certifications, and sponsorships and hackathons.
DESIGN SPRINTS WITH AMEX
Organized with American Express to conduct 3 paid customized Design Sprints for their employees across the MENA region, delivering the first in the series in early 2020.
DESIGN SPRINTS
Completed in 2019-20, 8 Design Sprints covering a total of 120 students and 80 administrators including industry executives.
TV SHOWCASE
In pipeline for these startups is a work-in-progress to showcase their success stories on MBC TV and share their journeys from mindset change to incubation while preparing for go-to-market stage.
FUNDING
AEIC received a funding announcement of AED 40,000/- on May 18th, 2020 & 55,000/- on Dec 15th, 2020 from Dubai SME for all its 12 startups to develop their MVP’s (Minimum Viable Products) and to participate in the next phase of their DEMO Pitch due to be held in District 2071 in Jan & May 2021.
INCUBATOR
AEIC’s Business Plan for an Education Business incubator (AEIC-Ui) is currently under review by Dubai SME for approval for license, to help fulfil the mandate of Article 6 of Chapter 50 – to graduate businesses and not just students.
MANUFACTURE
One of the startups has signed a Final Non-Disclosure Agreement to start its first pilot product line for manufacture and distribution of its prototype (version 2) by Fall 2021.
ONLINE PITCH
A widely publicized one of the first kind online pitching event took place on the 8th of April, 2020 via zoom organized by the Dubai Future Foundation - first such attempt to have been made by any University or any Innovation Center in the UAE during the Pandemic that saw 7 success stories emerge from 7 teams.
